His intentionally weathered stone-effect finish gives him the character of an old garden find rather than something shiny and new, while his extra-large proportions mean he's not going to disappear quietly behind the geraniums.
Position him beside an entrance, amongst big terracotta pots or somewhere in the garden where he can sit surveying his territory and silently judging everyone who walks past.
